A new name and a planned reopening
Sandals Jamaica Caribbean Cay is the new name for Sandals Royal Caribbean. The resort’s official reopening date is December 18, 2026, with bookings offered from that date. It should be considered a future stay until the resort confirms operations for your travel dates.
An island within the escape
The resort includes a private offshore island and overwater accommodation, alongside rooms and suites on the main grounds. Published photographs show the setting and selected existing accommodation. Overwater villas, private pools and outdoor tubs are category-specific features; they are not included with every room.
What is changing
The announced renovation includes a larger pool, Suppa restaurant and Parisol Beach Club on the private island. Confirm which facilities and services will be operating during your stay rather than treating the plans as completed amenities.
