For a honeymoon, anniversary or wedding gathering, think about the days you want before choosing the room: restaurants and nightlife, long beach afternoons, or time exploring the cays.
Nassau sits on New Providence, with Paradise Island connected across the harbour by bridge. This makes a useful starting point if you want a wide choice of resorts alongside history, art and dining. Leave the pool for a visit to the Queen’s Staircase or the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas, then return for an evening by the sea.
For a group celebration, compare the hotel’s setting and transfer arrangements with the places everyone wants to visit. A quieter stretch of coast and a lively resort can both be good choices; the right one depends on your plans.
Great Exuma, Little Exuma and the Exuma Cays offer different starting points. George Town and Exuma International Airport are on Great Exuma; a bridge connects Little Exuma, home to Tropic of Cancer Beach. Staniel Cay is another gateway to the northern cays.

Harbour Island combines a compact settlement with its pink-sand shore, while neighbouring Eleuthera offers a much longer coastline to explore. Harbour Island is reached by boat; the arrival plan needs to include the connection from your airport.
