Our concierge can assist you in planning every detail of your exploration, including packing a picnic lunch for two. 

The “Best of Both Worlds” retreat package includes a two-day/one-night backpacking and hiking adventure with your own private naturalist guide/chef. Enjoy hiking, camping, swimming, and more and then return to camp and enjoy “backcountry gourmet” meals and snacks. Upon your return to the Château, relax at the Spa followed by an elegant meal at the Elderberry House. An optional fourth day is reserved for complete relaxation here on the Estate – sit by the pool, listen to music, read a good book, and end the day with another five-star dining experience.

Our welcoming sanctuary features just 10 graciously appointed guest accommodations and the private two-bedroom Villa du Sureau. Each guest room is uniquely decorated in the style of a luxurious French manor house, with lavish furnishings and high-end amenities. With its enchanting gardens, towering pines, and bubbling fountains, this hidden gem’s fairy-tale setting is a haven for tranquility and romance.

The Elderberry House, a culinary destination for more than 30 years, exudes the passion and creativity for the culinary arts. Enjoy a thoughtful three- or four-course tasting menu sourced from local farms that are harvested at their peak of flavor. Each ingredient is meticulously cared for by Chef Robert Snyder III and our culinary team. Your evening will be accompanied by warm, attentive service, world-class wines, and fresh craft cocktails. 

The soothing Spa du Sureau features a sophisticated menu of contemporary treatments enhanced by traditional European elements.

 

Our nine-acre mountain backdrop is the perfect setting to exchange your wedding vows and celebrate as a couple, and you will experience remarkable, personalized attention every step of the way. 

Overlooking the Sierra Mountains, our outdoor terrace provides a stunning scene for the wedding of your dreams, and the Elderberry House continues the fairy tale with its renowned fine dining standards and refined service. Individual rooms within the restaurant provide intimate space for smaller receptions ranging from 12 to 50 seated guests. The restaurant seats 100 total and the Courtyard 120.

Our talented Executive Chef, Robert Snyder III, and his culinary team will assist you in creating your dream reception. We are heavily influenced by the seasons and will customize the perfect menu to your dining preferences.
